Ragusa, in Ibla the Arezzi di Trifiletti villa opens for the Fai spring days

On Saturday, March 21 and Sunday, March 22, 2026, the FAI Spring Days return, now in their 34th edition: the most significant public event dedicated to the rediscovery and enhancement of Italy's cultural and landscape heritage.

In the province of Ragusa, the initiative offers residents and visitors a unique opportunity to access places that are usually closed off or little known, transforming admiration for the territory into a tangible act of safeguarding and civic participation.

Three extraordinary openings are curated by the FAI Delegation of Ragusa, led by lawyer Gisella Scollo.

In Ragusa Ibla, the villino Arezzo di Trifiletti will reveal bourgeois environments of refined craftsmanship and period furnishings.

In Comiso, the spotlight will be on the Castello dei Naselli d’Aragona, a vivid testimony to the city's feudal memory.

Finally, in Modica, visitors will be able to discover the rock church of San Nicolò Inferiore, a medieval gem adorned with Byzantine frescoes dominated by the Christ Pantocrator: a site that symbolizes the work of the FAI, restored thanks to the “Luoghi del Cuore” campaigns.

The hosts will be the Apprendisti Ciceroni: students from various local institutions, including “Crispi-Vetri”, “Carducci”, and “Verga”, trained by their respective teachers to guide the public in discovering the heritage.

The event also aims for inclusivity through collaboration with LIS guides from the National Deaf Association.

The mission of the FAI refers to Article 9 of the Constitution: to promote the development of culture and protect the landscape.

Access to the sites will be on a free contribution basis, a choice that allows every citizen to actively support the restoration and care of the national heritage.

This edition, the result of months of work, is dedicated to the memory of Letizia Gerotti, former deputy head of delegation.
