Ragusa, the concert-narration that pays tribute to De Andrè

The Donnafugata Theater concludes the season with a final, highly anticipated event infused with poetry, music, and memory.

On Friday, March 20 and Saturday, March 21, at 8:30 PM, the performance “They Will Come to Ask You About Our Love” will take place, a concert-narration featuring Diego De Silva alongside the Trio Malinconico, composed of Aldo Vigorito (double bass), Stefano Giuliano (tenor sax), and Matteo Saggese (piano).

The production pays tribute to one of the most authoritative voices of Italian singer-songwriter music, Fabrizio De André. It is not a nostalgic tribute, but rather a story told through songs, with freely chosen pieces, without chronological or thematic constraints, with the ironic and affectionate intent of acknowledging an intellectual and creative debt to his timeless poetry.

In the unusual role of chansonnier, following a youthful passion for music, De Silva guides the audience through a recital that alternates readings, songs, and reflections, maintaining a delicate balance between lightness and emotion.

The voice of the writer and the atmospheres of the Trio Malinconico create an emotional journey through the depth of De André's work. The title, which recalls one of his most intense compositions, becomes the key to an exploration of love in its many shades: fragile, ironic, painful, luminous. A path of stories, emotions, and words that continue to question the present.
