Annalisa, "Summer Song" between fire, love, and provocation: "Do you want me more as a nun or a porn star?"

Annalisa returns with a new track titled “Canzone estiva”, set to be released on March 13 by Atlantic/Warner Music Italy, following a season of successes that has confirmed her as one of the most authoritative figures in contemporary Italian pop.

The single continues the path traced by the album “Ma io sono fuoco”, picking up its thematic thread and the symbol of fire as a creative spark, but above all as a force of reaction and transformation.

“Canzone estiva” is a declaration of love on multiple levels: on one hand, the affection directed towards a person, on the other, the bond with one’s audience. A visceral, explosive feeling, far from linear, intimately connected to self-esteem and self-love.

Confronting the judgment of those we love, as well as that of public opinion, is never a light passage. We are what we feel we are, but also what others perceive, through countless gazes. Any version of ourselves can be interpreted in an opposite way, even starting from the same person.

From here arises the provocation: “Do you want me more as a nun or a porn star?”, an irony that extremizes the language of judgment, already knowing the outcome: the only way is to expose oneself for what one is, “being both and neither”, in a personal, precarious, and disorderly balance that lies in between. Also because the choice of which version to see says something about the one being observed, but tells a lot about the observer.

If the title plays with expectations, the track moves on an alternating rhythmic intensity: from dense voids to airy fullness, conceived imagining the dialogue from the stage between artist and audience, remaining deliberately personal and, in part, indecipherable. It decides who listens, as always.

In April, Annalisa will arrive at the main sports arenas in Italy with CHAPTER II of the tour “But WE ARE FIRE”, which has already recorded some sold out shows and subsequent additions, such as in Messina: the artist will perform for the first time at Palarescifina, where the debut on May 12 is already sold out and a new date has been added on May 13.
